Mountain path to Mt.Komagatake

A mountain climbing season of
Mt.Komagatake is from Jun. to Oct.

Mountain hiking is possible from 9:00 to 15:00 (for 6 hours) every day during a season. The starting point is a parking lot at the sixth stage. You can climb up to “Umanose” (approximately 900m above sea level), and approximately 2 km way from the sixth stage. The trail is gritty clad in volcanic gravel, and the slope is very steep, so it is recommended to take trekking shoes. It’s not allowed to go ahead of Umanose because of crater. If you would like to try longer trail, let’s start from the second parking lot or JR Akaigawa Station. You might enjoy more full-scale mountain hiking.

Please make sure to fill in the application form for climbing at the sixth stage (trailhead). Before visit the mountain, please confirm the open terms because it may change subject to volcanic activities or trail condition.
