The road which beautiful 1400 Japanese red pines planted to commemorate Emperor’s visited in 1876.

Through the National Route 5, enter city area of Nanae, you can see row of Japanese red pines. It is chosen for “The 100 best road in Japan” and “Historic road”, it is said the most beautiful section is 2km from Nanae Onakayama to Narukawa-cho. This row of Japanese red pines are 150 years old, makes to feel the town’s history.
