Mt.Higurashi Observation Deck

It’s an Observation Deck which command a panoramic view of Onuma and Konuma and Mt.Komagatake.

It was named “Higashi Yama” because it is splendid so that scenery to watch from here forgets nightfall. Above sea level is 303m and about 30minutes by walk from the starting point of a mountain climb. Ooubayuri will welcome mountain climbing visitor toward the end of July. It’s a spot of the superb view where can see Onuma, Konuma, Mt.Komagatake and pacific volcanic bay.


From the fall of 2021, the mountain trail will be closed to vehicles.
It is possible to climb the mountain on foot.

There are occasional reports of brown bear sightings nearby. Please avoid dark hours such as the morning.
