31.Shirotai Ranch Observation Point

The popular observation point which can overlook Mt.Hakodate, Ono plains, the line of Hokkaido Shinkansen. The pasturage scenery of cow spreads, and leisurely time goes by.

This observation point which you can see to Shimokita Peninsula on the fine day. It’s in the town-managed ranch since 1920. Cows are put out to pasture in summer and you can enjoy quiet scenery. If climatic condition is good, you could watch a sea of clouds. You can enjoy a night view of Hakodate at night. It is recommended to climb before the sunset because there is no streetlight.
In addition, Shirotai mountain highway will be closed in the middle of November to the end of April every year.
