Fruit Farm Nanae Seikoen

It is the first town where a Western apple was cultivated in Japan.
It is the orchard where there is sale & fruit picking of the apple of Nanae.

The orchard where is along the National highway 5. You can do the fruit picking in different season and purchase fresh apples in a direct sale store. This Nanae Seikouen is in particular a historical orchard. It is built in the place where there was a farm and private residence of the Baron Kawada whom the name of “Danshaku” (Danshaku=Baron). And “Danshaku Poteto” which was famous of this ground was cultivated for the first time in Japan. There is the monument of “Danshaku Poteto birth place” on the side of the orchard.
